An invitation to be touched by great classical music. An event to understand what musicians from the past still have to say about the world today and to experience how they can enrich our spirits. This is the main theme of Fuori la musica. Meet Mario Brunello, which will be taking place on Tuesday, 15 May ,at 6 pm at Fondazione Querini Stampalia. The students from Music College Benedetto Marcello of Venice wil be performing several compositions by J. S. Bach and F. Schubert, and will be confronting the famous cellist in a sort of “musical presentation” of his book Fuori con la musica, Rizzoli 2011. In this book, Mario Brunello, a brilliant and innovative interpreter who believes in classical music free from any cliché, describes the exciting steps of his artistic career during which he left conventional stages offering music in the most unusual places, from the Dolomites to the Sahara desert, to industrial areas in a former factory. The meeting will be introduced by pianist Massimo Somenzi and will be organized by Fondazione Querini Stampalia in cooperation with the Music College Benedetto Marcello - Chamber Music Institute by Luisa Messinis and Cello Institute by Angelo Zanin - and Antiruggine. Free entry on a first-come, first-served basis
