Incoronation of the Virgin

The old collection is composed by paintings, furniture and valuable objects of everyday life, personal effects, work and culture of the Querini family.

The collection includes 14th century paintings from the Neo Byzantine school, masterpieces such as The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple by Giovanni Bellini, portraits by Sebastiano Bombelli, small paintings by Pietro Longhi, scenes of public and private Venetian life by Gabriel Bella and the portrait of Giambattista Tiepolo.

The collection of decorative art objects, valuable furniture, globes, European porcelain, musical instruments, ancient clocks, Venetian sculptures and Flemish tapestries is definitely uncomparable.

Thanks to some recent contributions from private collections, the Museum has been enhanced with works from the Nineteenth and Twentieth centuries. Together with pieces from young contemporary artists, they contribute to make the Foundation a place where the present and the past live together.
