“Thresholds are part of the language of entry, but also of pause. Just as we need to introduce space and void into a house or a garden, so we need to introduce these into the landscape of our creative practice, in order to keep crossing into new territory” – Luciano Giubbilei
‘Parliamone’ with: Luciano Giubbilei, garden and landscape designer, and Sir Peter Murray CBE, Yorkshire Sculpture Park founder. Moderated by Chiara Pasquali
Talk and aperitif starting from 6 p.m.
The appointments designed to deepen DoorScape continue in Carlo Scarpa Garden. Each time is a unique opportunity to meet photographers, architects, philosophers, historians, designers and talk with them: dialogues beyond the classic conference that recover the multidisciplinary nature of the project.
What is entrance architecture for a landscape designer? How does a designer or a city historian approach the concept of the threshold? The element of the threshold, present in everyone’s lives, in Querini becomes metaphorically and literally a point of encounter.
You can book by filling the form at this link.
The talk will be in English.
