Welcome to Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Venice!
If you would like to discover Venice from a less predictable and obvious point of view, but rather for its originality and at the same time for its most ancient and prestigious traditions to which it is deeply bound, you have found the perfect place. Fondazione Querini Stampalia - in quality of training centre, knowledge promoter, and frontier of modernity – arouses amazement and surprise even in those who already know the city and visit it regularly.
Fondazione Querini Stampalia welcomes you with ancient treasures, but also with an eye set on the present.
Fondazione Querini Stampalia is proud to present: the rich and historical Library characterized by its 19th-century atmosphere, its collections and breakthrough technologies; the House-Museum with its furnishings and picture gallery, a journey in the history of Venetian art, from Giovanni Bellini's Renaissance to G. Tiepolo's, P. Longhi's and G. Bella's 18th-century works. The most remarkable signs of Contemporary Art in the 16th-century Palace are given by Carlo Scarpa's, Valeriano Pastor's and Mario Botta's architectures. Visitors can appreciate the comparison among the different artistic languages and the contaminations among the various artistic styles.
Dear guests, I hope that this new web page will help you discover and appreciate the rich variety of our activities, and encourage you to come and visit our beautiful Palace soon.
Best regards,
Marigusta Lazzari
