The Museum's textile collection features elaborate and original creations dating principally from the eighteenth century.
Included are about 70 examples of various types of tapestries, drapes, passementeries, trimmings and bows. Of note are 14 esteemed woolen and silk tapestries from the Flemish school, dated between the second half of the sixteenth century and the beginning of the seventeenth century.
The scenes are taken from the Bible, though the episodes are difficult to identify. The main characters wear biblical clothes while the minor characters in the background scenes are dressed according to the fashion of the times in which the tapestries were produced.
