An unexpected Venice, a place where the expert hand of architect Carlo Scarpa was able to shape space, combining ancient and contemporary elements, light and colour, creating a game of endless connections and strong impressions. Between June and July, Fondazione Querini Stampalia's garden, not commonly visited, will be the perfect scenary for a new meeting of which the protagonist will be the spoken word, expressed through a lively tale or a performed reading. Fondazione Querini Stampalia will be organizing this reading in its garden as a series of events curated by the actress, director and reader Margherita, with the aim to discover and re-discover the pleasure of reading. Inspired by several books kept in the Querini Stampalia Library, and not easy to find, this project will be organized in four meetings. The first on Wednesday 20 June at 6.30 pm, titled “Tales in the grass” and dedicated to children from 7 to 9. The second on 4 July for children from 4 to 6. Adults are invited on 27 June at “Flowers amid vices and virtues;” and 11 July at “Tè Between East and West”. An unusual invitation in the open for children and adults to enjoy reading surrounded by nature. Free entry on a first-come, first-served basis. Booking required at 041 2711425 or via email at [email protected]
