Querini Stampalia Foundation

Since 1869 we have promoted “the cult of good studies and useful disciplines”, with a curious gaze and a passion for the future.

Cafè Mariona

The Caffè Mariona, the café of the Fondazione Querini Stampalia, is located on the ground floor next to Libreria Giovanni. The spaces are part of the architectural intervention designed by Mario Botta and overlook the garden created by Carlo Scarpa. In continuity with Libreria Giovanni, they engage in dialogue with the intervention by designer Martí Guixé.

Caffè Mariona is managed by Rosa Salva, a historic Venetian establishment founded in 1870 and for generations associated with the tradition of Venetian cuisine and pastry-making.

The Caffè Mariona is part of the forward-looking vision of Cristiana Collu, Director of the Fondazione, who aims to make the Querini Stampalia an increasingly open, accessible, and inclusive place. A “wonder booster” where culture becomes a driver of reflection, encounter, and transformation.
