The Querini Stampalia Foundation is among the oldest Italian cultural institutions. Since 1869 we have promoted “the cult of good studies and useful disciplines”, with a curious gaze and a passion for the future.

The Late Night Library

From October 1

From October, the Querini Stampalia Library is changing pace and extending its opening hours: every Thursday and Friday, it will remain open until midnight.

As the city slows down, the Library takes on a new atmosphere. The reading rooms become a space to enjoy after sunset too: to study, read, work, meet, or simply spend a few extra hours surrounded by books and ideas.

The Late Night Library is for those who love the Library at every time of day, as well as for those looking for a place to linger when Venice grows quieter. It is an opportunity to experience the Querini Stampalia beyond its usual opening hours, at your own pace and accompanied by the evening light.

Every Thursday and Friday, until midnight, the Library becomes a meeting point for a community that studies, creates, researches and shares.

Please note that registration, borrowing and distribution services are available until 7:30 pm.

Access to the Library is restricted to users aged 14 and over and is exclusively available to Library cardholders.

Registration is free of charge. To apply for a Library card, please complete and sign the registration form and send it, together with a scan of a valid ID, to biblioteca@querinistampalia.org.

On other days, the Library follows these opening hours:

Tuesday and Wednesday: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
